Content architecture is the process of designing the data structure of the objects used by a system.
Vulcan CMS comes with these abilities allowing non-developers to modify and create the data structure of its main components.
In Vulcan, these abilities are part of  the “Content Architect” permission which is the highest permissions in the Vulcan system.
Once system needs are understood, the content architects can build needed entities/widgets structures to be later used by the development team to build and store the system screens and data.
The content architect also helps organize content, recommending the best approach to structure it so it can be re-used in a variety of situations and across channels and devices easily.
Being a Content Architect requires basic technical understanding, for example, distinguishing common data types.
